Latest news and updates from the AirwaySim's Online Airline Game.

After nearly two years of play, the epic-length Airline Generations scenario has reached the year 2035 and is now closed. The game opened in September 2024 and ran from 1950 to 2035 in-game.
In this game 19 different airlines managed to operate from day one all the way to the final day without a single bankruptcy. Congratulations to all these veteran airline CEOs for their commitment. These players have been awarded extra 10 Credits to their account for the excellent performance.
Thank you to everyone who took part in this long-running scenario!
Remember to pre-join the next round of Airline Generations from our new Upcoming Games page. The game is scheduled to start in August and the exact date will be announced later. Meanwhile, the short-duration American Regional Challenge game is just about to start, so why not try a shorter challenge for a change?
You can view the final stats of this game from our forums.
A new short-length game world, American Regional Challenge, opens on Tuesday 30th June.
This special scenario focuses on regional airline operations across North and South America between 1988 and 2000. Only turboprops and regional jets are available, while elevated passenger demand in South America and no geopolitical basing restrictions create new opportunities for expansion. With a simulation speed of 20 minutes per game day, this is a fast-paced challenge with 2 months of real play time.
Pre-joining is now open.
One common question we receive is simple: "When is the next game world starting?" To make this information easier to find, we have added a new Upcoming Games page.
The page shows both currently running and upcoming game worlds, including planned launch windows and the ability to reserve your place in future worlds. If you reserve a place in an upcoming world, we'll send you an email reminder when the world opens. No Credits are charged unless you decide to join when the game actually opens.
We hope this makes it easier to plan your next airline adventure and keep track of future game worlds. If you have ideas or suggestions for future games, we're happy to hear them, so be in touch via forums, Discord, or directly to email via the contact form at our website. 😊
The latest software changes include also the addition of B747-400M and some small bugfixes.
A new Beginner's World #2 scenario is now open!

AirwaySim has always two concurrent Beginner's World scenarios running (BW#1 and BW#2). They both use the same settings and same time frame.
Our beginner game series is aimed for all newbies and other players wishing to test different playing styles in an easier environment. Duration of one scenario is always approximately 60 real days. The scenario runs for ~10 game years with a speed of 25 minutes per day, and all of AirwaySim's main features are included in these scenarios.
When a BW scenario ends, a new one will start within a few days. The two scenarios are running in parallel so that there is always one BW scenario start every month.
After several months of development, testing, feedback, and tuning, Scheduling 2.0 is now considered feature-complete. Today we added even more new mini-features based on the feedback!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the open testing period, and provided feedback during (and after) testing.
